RE: [microsound] emotions in music
I think that no matter what you think you are putting
into the music emotionally other peoples perception of
it is totally their own and may have little to do with
how you see it.
I worked on a theatre project two years ago and it
became very clear that how they saw the music was
very different from my perception. It was a fascinating
project to work on though.
Music is very personal - At least two of the music
makers I listen to - Kim Cascone and Zoviet*France
claim that they make music devoid of emotion but
for me (like all music) they do stir emotional feelings
- to be honest I think all music does.
