To use only Kim Cascone's parasite samples would create a closed system,
parasites with no host. I introduced two new parasites, one linguistic
and the other a pointer to a different host: Takako Minekawa saying
"No." and a Macintosh startup sound. They carry almost equal weight
within the track. Which sound source is the parasite?
Can two fields overlap and have a reciprocal parasitical relationship?
They can but only if it is not acknowledged as an exchange but as a
theft or gift contributing nothing to the survival of either recipient.
They must sit side by side in self-denial, stealing or giving but never
granting equivalence to their actions.
Who will have me over for dinner next week?
