given that the term McDonaldization is American 
(consummer) culture being pushed out to every corner
of the world - cultural imperialism  - then I think
that Madonna (a cultural icon) and Madonna's music
(consummer pop) fits this quite easily - contributing
to less diversity of culture - everygirl in the world
wanted to be madonna and dress like her - her music is
everywhere in shops at the expense of music produced
by local artists.

she is part of globalization - along with Hollywood,
Mcdonalds AOLTimeWarner, Microsoft etc.etc...
