yes, this term came from a conversation I had with another composer years
ago about pop music and cultural globalisation...stumbling for an example
of musical commercialism and american "culture" I blurted out the
word-graft of McDonalds and Madonna...several people within earshot laughed
and thought McDonna was a perfect term for this phenomenon...
