RE: [microsound] Fw: What do these terms mean?



This is the kind of thing that can make you feel old....

My son (due anyday now) is going to grow up in a world where
digital technology is the only way of doing things - old analogue
stuff will just be curious museum pieces. I read in Scientific American last
night that there has been more technological progress in the last
centuary than in the TEN THOUSAND years before it - and its
going to be even faster next century. They reckon that computer
processer power will be effectively infinite by as early as 2050
(note: thats not actually infinite - just that it will seem as though
 it is for any application we throw at it). Crazy
