Acid is an amazing tool for doing tight-deadline music production...I used
it a couple of years ago to construct half a dozen pieces for a game demo I
was writing music for...I trawled some hotline servers for some hip-hop
loops and cool VST plugs, auditioned the loops, made a library of the ones
I liked, and finished all the music in 2 days...plus by using the VST plugs
I was able to transform some of the drum loops I found into some really
abstract rhythmic patterns...
now that there are more audio seq's integrating "looping" into their
feature set we have more tools to chose from...but if you're on a PC get a
copy of ACID and check it out...on the MacOS side of things check out Live
by Ableton
