robert johnson is alright

dear all,
on the last legs of my #i love germany tour#, i spent last night in frankfurt, at a really amazing club called robert johsnon. this is the minimal house that i came for. anyone in the area should check this hot spot out which is in the middle of nowhere offenbach(neighboring city of frankfurt). some nights are sponsored by playhouse/klang electronik, such as last night was. it was such a good time.
highly recommended.

some notes about the tour
saarbrucken - steve roden performance - amazing
saarbrucken - visitied a class taught by stephan mathieu/ekkard ehlers on music, space and design
very good and possibly informative if i spoke german
volkingen - a visit to the iron hut, where stephan mathieu has a viseral and beautiful audio installation
munich - saw on the big screen andrei tarkowsky's 'stalker', and drank beer in the theatre
_ we can't do that legally in canada
garmisch-partenkirchen- skied until i couldn't move
frankfurt/damstadt - went to a great and effective evening put on by saas*fee, local frankfurt label. here i met god, sergej auto. wow, thats all i gotta say.
frankfurt - saw a great exhibition called #blood#, which tried to sketch the change in attitude of bllod over the centuries from mayan bloodletting, to sacrificial and sacred blood in christianity, to blood lines in royalty, and then 20th century interpretations of bllod (this included works by herman nitsch, and *brus*, ....)
frankfurt/offenbach - robert johnson
koln - i am going to this event tomorrow night called #introducing#, which features performances by mouse on mars, kreidler/chicks on speed, the notwist and many others.

it has quite been an amazing tour, maybe the night time i can turn on my trustly laptop for some sonic tickling.

again check out robert-johnson if your planning a trip to frnkfurt on a weekend.

The effects of good music are not just because it's new; on the contrary music strikes us more the more familiar we are with it.
