Re: [microsound] experimental music

Misguided perhaps but I think an 'experimental' approach to music making /
composition incorporates elements of innovation and risk taking, evident
whenever the process or product deviates from the expected / traditional /
accepted practice and theory, accepting that quality of result has dynamic
value.

I think the experimental approach stems from the gnostic or niave
comprehensive (confusion as a bridge to creativity) action on belief taking
the individual some way toward new realisation / knowledge (not scientific)
with performance / publication / presentation in a public domain to ensure
objective record and assesment.

Or is experimental a substitute for inconvenient?
