Re: [microsound] help?

You don't mention what platform you're using. If you've got a Mac:

The only free thing I can think of off the top of my head is from these guys ( VSTi );

This is pretty cool, and free, but might not be what you're looking for ( stand-alone );
http://www.soundhack.com/ ( eco 1000, no direct link )

If you feel like coughing up a few bucks ( $95 ), this one's quite good. it's probably exactly what you want ( but it's mono );

quadrasid ( VSTi ) is pretty damn cheap ( $20? ), and completely bitchin'. It emulates the sound chip from the old Commodore Amiga.

he's also got a 303-style thingie that's also pretty cheap, and the thing he's working on now, Nexus, looks very, very nice, but ain't out yet. It'll read Wavestation sysex. I used to have a Wavestation, the demo mpg's sound spot on.

You can always check the section of versiontracker.com that's relevant to your platform.

All I can think of. If you've got a PC, there's probably zillions of things.

Hello,

I'm looking for a freeware program that I can use to create fat ,warm ambient sounds, and also anologue-type sounds. Does anyone know where I can download such a program?

Help would be greatly appreciated...
