man, thats a good question. though confusing. could you explain what you
mean a little further, b/c i'm afraid that i'll be answering the wrong
question.
do you mean that if one uses the medium/tool as the point of reference or
discussion, we would hit a proverbial brick wall some day because the act
of painting has reached its limits in the 2 dimensions? that painting is
so old that its ready to die?
