Might I recommend Aki Tsuyuko, not microsound per se but definitely off the
beaten path and very good. You can find her "Ongakushitsu" record from Jim
O' Rourkes Moikai label (distributed by Drag City and home to many fantastic
reissues including pita, fennesz and rafael toral).  Incidentally, she works
frequently with Nobukazu Takemura.
