RE: [microsound] PC Laptop Recording
I recently got a HD recorder (a fostex FD8 -swapped it for an old soundcard)
and
I must say it really frees you up. I still do some HD recording on my
computer
but for a lot of work I can just press record and go - squirt it back into
the computer
via ADAT for processing and I have not lost any of the flexabiity. If you
work
in quite an imediate way I would certainly look into it - there are some
very
nice units about at the moment.
cheers

Subject: [microsound] PC Laptop Recording
Hi :)
Does anyone have any suggestions/experiences regarding PC laptop sound
cards?
I am looking at 8 Ch IN, 8 Ch Out. Low noise, preferablly 24 bit 96k and
with mic preamps. Considering one with a control surface.
But any info you have is appreciated..
Its basically for portable recording, am I better off with a Hard Disk
Rcorder? What are my options?
Cheers..
Adam
