constructed from samples of chirping birds and whispering reeds, john
hudak's 'birds and reeds' presents an artificial environment that
incorporates the familiar and identifiable sounds of the given elements
as well as subtle, slightly disorienting abstraction of those sounds.
the wavering pitches and patches of noise that make up the natural
environment are gradually shifted to a point just short of
disassociating themselves from the source.
