yeah, i've come to think that i was wrong in what i said; the
artist/audience relationship is in fact a kind of contract, and if that
involves risks, well, the audience knows and accepts that. this is certainly
not unique to macrosound; anyone who's been to a slayer concert knows it as
well. 

consider this a retraction. and now no more from me on the subject. i'm
going to listen to something nice and quiet like richard chartier and think
about being back in bed.
