Re: [microsound] has anyone seen the Dumb Type Performance Troupe
Haven't seen TROUPE yet, it'll be in tokyo this summer.
i don't know how much tickets cost, but treat yourself,
couldn't be too bad.
MEMORANDUM was pretty good,
but not as sweet as PH, S/N, or OR,
in my opinion
but the damn sound levels
aggghhh
were way too high
and ryoji was predictably ryoji.
highs high & lows low.
Toru Yamanaka the other lesser-known,
but original sound designer/composer/musician
is also well worth hearing,
although not particularly always microsound-orientated.
Takao Kawaguchi & Noriko Tsunayama,
the main movers/choreographers
are also well worth seeing
even if you can't hear squat
through your bullet-proof earplugs.
all the best from tokyo
