RE: [microsound] liberalism/power/control
Well, I would put them in to practice in an intellectual and market sense.
Look, not everyone who is "corporatist" or "fascist" is a devil. I come
from two sides of long military traditions, Spanish and German. I am very
conservative, perhaps provincial in my way of thinking. But make no mistake
that if someone identifies himself with a belief system that he does it
merely for intellectual reasons, and has no fortitude to back it with
actions (I don't think you are implying this - I just make this as general
statement).
I've lived in some scary places (and am going to Macedonia on a
semi-permanent basis), but I'd like to think that I've kept my humanity and
respect for others intact. I may find communism a disgusting political
practice, but my mates who like it are my mates.
Best,
Rudy

Well I think what matters is your actions. You can maybe agree with some
philosophy in an intellectual sense, but if you're not putting those
beliefs into practice does it make a difference ?
Like for example, can someone be considered a racist if that person has
certain beliefs, but doesn't actively discriminate against other races ?
I think lots of people define themselves by theoretical beliefs which they
find out don't hold up when put to the test in the "real" world.
