Désormais is a collaborative project between Mitchell Akiyama and Joshua
Treble that began in Fall 2001. Located somewhere between the drone rock of
My Bloody Valentine and the glitch-scapes of Christian Fennesz, their debut
'Climate Variations' will be available for the first time at CLOSE.

Mitchell Akiyama

Montreal based audio-visual artist Mitchell Akiyama has appeared at such
festivals as Mutek in Montreal and Sonar in Barcelona. His debut album 'Hope
That Lines Don't Cross' on Alien8's sublabel Substractif garnered glowing
reviews. Look for his upcoming album 'Temporary Music' on Raster-Noton.

Joshua Treble
(Intr_Version, Pitchcadet, Aiifm, 555)
CLOSE marks Joshua Treble's hometown debut after shows in Cleveland,
Chicago, and Columbus with the likes of Twine, Jetone, and Accelera Deck.
His first full-length 'Cold Filthy Techniques to Keep You Close' was
released last October by Pitchcadet.

Beneath Autumn Sky
(Hefty Records)
Smaze (best known for his work in the world of graffiti art) formed Beneath
Autumn Sky in Summer 2000. The EP 'Enki-Du's Mono' was released by Hefty
Records in 2001. Smaze has just completed a full-length album which will be
released on Hefty Records, and a record for Scott Herren's (Delarosa &
Asora, Prefuse 73, Savath+Savalas) new Eastern Developments label.
