i'm with aleks here.  has anyone ever been on one of those buddhism mailing 
lists or message boards?  there is this awesome respect for the ideas of 
everyone else.  people think about what's actually important to say.  all 
critiques are prefaced with a "while your exposition was very 
well-founded", or "i think you are really on to something, but.."

i am right now probably being self-contradictory, but i think it wouldn't 
hurt to realise that when you fire off a message, it's being rocketed 
around to the hundreds of people on this list.  is it going to add something?
