Vitriol is a longstanding project conducted by
Paulo
Raposo and Carlos Santos. Using custom-built
software,
and with a strong focus in improvisation, vitriol
uses
a variety of sound sources like objects, acoustic
instruments or architectural spaces, isolating
micro-events to create abstract organic
landscapes.

Paulo Raposo is a composer and digital media
artist
living in lisbon. he has composed for and
collaborated
on many projects involving music, video and
dance,
with performances in several venues in the U.S.
and
Europe. His work has been presented at Bourges
synthése Festival, ICMC2000, EIF,among others. 

Carlos
Santos has been particularly active in portuguese
experimental scene, working with improvisers such
as
Emídio Buchinho, Ulrich Mitzlaf, Pedro Leal and
Pedro
Rebelo, Franzisca Shroeder, Markus Shmickler, etc

Jeremy Bernstein, from New York, is a leading
artist and develloper in the field of video
performance. Previously with nato, now using Jit,
from cycling74, well, can't say nomore, you have
to see it...

Besides running the label 'sirr', PR and CS are
members of
the laptop ensemble '[des]integração'.
