sitecheck thank you!

howdy again folks.

i wanted to thank all the people who responded to my request to check the site listed below. in lieu of an explanation:

the piece is a submission to a sort of competition called "digital salvage," where people are (were) supposed to create web pieces that don't involve flash and that have no explanatory information on the web pages...i.e. stand alone as "artwork." the three winners will get featured on a new digital art website sponsored by the university of denver. the deadline was 31 april.

all the responses helped...for those of you that had crashes or froze up...i am sorry. i know i used to crash alot with explorer on the mac until a friend suggested i up the memory for explorer to 95mb...apparently is has caching problems with websites that take a lot of informational work...my page was written in javascript...and plays small quicktime audio .mov files (random positions for the windows and random choices of audiofiles), so this would certainly crash a computer with a small amount of cache available.

so again, thanks!

also, some people had asked about the availability of a 4cd set i was duplicating myself called "from where i am"...i have been looking for a label to release it, and so far haven't found one...and i burnt out making 30 copies of it...there is a real audio version of the original broadcast piece that could be found by going to my website and looking in the "webwork" pulldown.

best future,
john
