RE: [microsound] multi-track software
Old SoundEffects works nice with Multiple Channel Files:
http://www.riccisoft.com/soundeffects/
There's, of course, pro-tools free, it'll separate your
channels into multiple mono files, but that's kinda nice:

http://www.digidesign.com/products/prd_overview.cfm?product_id=2040
It only allows stereo files, but I wonder if anyone else is
having fun with Amadeus II, VST plugs and all:

hope this helps,

Subject: [microsound] multi-track software
the only multiple track software i can think of is audiowerk and
soundedit 16.
know anything else?
i'm looking for another program, as ancient soundedit 16 chews on files
sometimes
and the audiowerk software i have only works on my desktop with the
internal sound card.
by multiple, i mean, being able to 'visually' hold at least 5 (stereo)
waveforms on one interface.
by visually, i don't mean something like six-pack on reaktor. not a
sample loader.
stand-alone software is preferred.
suggestions, hints, links greatly appreciated.
all the best,
kelly
