in light of the recent metasynth discussion, has anyone in subscription to this list done much work with photoshop plug-ins on raw sound data?
i've been experimenting with it myself over the past week and have found that the 'sharpen' effect does very wonderful things to sound, but most other effects generally have the result of annihilating the original information altogether and producing sort of modem-like bitnoise. has anyone had any luck with any other plug-ins/effects?
in summary, the technique is: save a soundfile as raw data, load that raw data into photoshop, process it and save it again as raw data, reload into sound playing software.
thanks, jvr;
