surprised to hear that you're a 'die-hard merzbow' fan, franz? didn't think
you were all that keen on noise.. .?
have been playing merzbow since 1983 really, so I'm familiar with
most of the phases Masami went through, and for those who think
Merzbow is just plain noise, I'd say there is enough interesting,
less noise oriented stuff from him. Also I did LP's with Merzbow,
released as Merzbow Kapotte Muziek, which were based on a
collaborative concert we did for an illegal radio station in 1989
(really no DJ stuff there!).
I am more and more less interested in the whole noise thing, mainly
because many people just seem to repeat (and to a lesser quality)
what others already did and did very good, like Merzbow...
