Please, oh please don't let me see the usual kvetching about
the genre somehow going down the toilet because more than
24 persons know about it and someone's currency of cool has
been devalued slightly. Since I am impossibly old, I have sat
through this stuff about a million times; it's truly wearying.

Latecomers usually don't give a shit that someone else was
there first, and the increased numbers means that the number
of rhizomes increases exponentially. The good news is that
stuff may mutate interestingly as a result of the scrutiny. In
my experience, that's the fun of it. The rest of it? "Twas
ever thus." Another useful phrase: "Et ego in Arcadia...."
Rehearse the phrase "classic lowercase."

Just keep working and listening.

If you wish to ignore this request and get some practice in
the art of the well-rehearsed whinge, may I suggest a visit
to one of the Progressive Rock ("Not as good as it used to
be") or Industrial ("the genre was destroyed by its popularity")
newsgroups? :-)
