kyma

I've been thinking/tempted to buy a kyma system but wondered if any users 
out there could give me some proper recomendations (all I've found is from 
the symbollic sound web site)... is it really worth the cash (over $3000) 
and why?? and what its like in comparison to sofware like Reaktor/Max-Msp 
etc...
