hi

I have a non musical question for the digital experts
of this here community.  Then I want to invite you all
over to this party we are having were there will be
electronic music among other things.  SO heres the
problem first:  I keep getting emails in my hotmail
account (but not my yahoo one) that are blank inside
and yet seem to occupy like 150K or so, and also do
not look like they have attachments.  They are always
from people I know though these people never sent
them, and the subject lines say anything from "what's
new" to "thought you'd like to see my pm1.00021
patch." or things like that.  Because I've gotten
several I opened a couple of them, because they we
from people I knew and didnt appear suspicious (I
think one subject said "true hello" or something which
is wierd but not that suspicious).  Anyway my question
is:
can viruses be loaded to my computer without me
downloading anything or running an executable file?
I have a macintosh.  I am going on tour in a few days.
 Should I get really scarred?

we're having a hello/goodbye party at our house,
Donutz N' Thugs, this Friday, June the 14th.  It will
be our last party beecuse Davids moving to China and I
am moving to a Greyhound bus.  Kristin is going to
still be around but you can ask her about that in
person. so come on over!

directions:
from Oakland
go down grand past broadway/telegraph and through
downtown until it turns to west grand (near the bay
bridge).  Adeline has a light on it.   Coming from
downstown take a right at the light.  go two blocks to
26th street. turn left. we are the second door on 26th
street.  knock really loud.  theres also a phone out
front to call from but we most likely wont hear it.

from San Francisco (car)
drive over bay bridge (really), exit by getting into
your fathest right lane as soon as you are on land
again.  There will be signs for the west grand exit,
take it.  go like 4 blocks or something.  Its Adeline!
 turn left, go two blocks to 26th street, turn left
knock real loud on the second door from the corner on
26th.

from Berkeley (car) take 880 exit west grand follow sf
directions

from San Francisco (transit)

we are not really to close to the BART.  You can take
a bike on BART and exit at 19th street and ride
following the Oakland directions if you want (take
Broadway to grand then ride toward the Bay) or you can
take the AC Transit F bus from the Transbay Terminal
at Mission and foist.  This lets  you off at Adline
and west grand and you can walk the two blocks to 26th
street. then turn left, knock on the second door from
the corner.  loud.
