"current trends in racism in america" was performed in 1985 by a mainly new york based ensemble. its a great piece, theres a recording on the german sound aspects label.
i played 10 years later in a berliner ensemble, a quiet colourful mixture of contemporary and improv musicians. butch morris is definately one of the visionaries coming from more of a jazz background.
