hmmm...'always' seems like an ironclad qualifier...not so sure about
that...I think it has to do with cultural codes and training...in fact,
Xenakis describes his frustration with trying to get instrumentalists to
play his pieces without emotion...so while it may be true in most places it
doesn't follow that it is true in all places...but nevertheless, there is a
lot of math to be heard in MF18M...

not so sure about that...there are some pieces made with the computer that
move me emotionally...some of Risset's work is very poetic and
emotional...also, Michel Redolfi is a very emotional computer music
composer...
