well, this is quite off topic,i think, but i have to disagree.

if you want to see kitschy stuff, go there... but be sure not to miss
the waste burning plant, the ship cruising on the donaukanal, the millions
of postcards, the car rest at the motorway, the spa in styria, the post office
in the sixth district and all the other "marvelous" stuff he did. there are 
also
three other painters who did the same and earned a lot of money like
hundertwasser did. it's really a plague in vienna & austria. highly commercial.
but if you're interested in real architecture go somewhere else...

and: please don't avoid apfelstrudel as someone mentioned it here.
it's real. and can be very good. and very off topic, sorry.
