"arg" is the solo project of Graziano Lello, where he carries out electronic
and concrete music compositions in which  he interacts with heterogeneous
materials and very different sound sources (field recordings, samples,
electronic generated sounds and real instrumentation). The pieces pay
hommage to Robert Bresson or George Perec and reveal a distinctive aproach
where silence plays a key role and digital glitches inhabit a aesthetics of
the sublime.
Graziano Lello has been collaborating recently with the project "Arturo" and
with the improvised electronic music trio "Taxonomy" (with Elio Martusciello
and Roberto Fega).

Recorded live in May 2002 at the Center of Modern Art, Calouste Gulbenkian
Foundation, Lisbon, this piece uses the work "Cage of Sand" by Carlos
"Zíngaro", released by Sirr Records (SIRR2007) as the exclusive sound prime
matter, working as a re-interpretation/reconstruction of the original
materials, mediated by the author himself that controlled the live mix. The
[des]integração collective is formed by young portuguese electronic
musicians and has been developing a permutational approach to the sound
creation: permutation of methods, ideas, places, sounds and images -
[dis]integrating and [dis]contructing, in the sense that this project
proposes to de-territorialize implanted codes, deconstruct and transform
idiomatic genres, through the dissolution of the author on a collective
surgery.

Since its formation in January 2002, [des]integração has been performing
with a variable structure, departing from specific themes and concepts to
elaborate each presentation, be it the one registered in "permute", be it
for example "Integração" with audiovisual material from Marc Behrens,
"McDonna", or the soundtrack created in situ for the presentation of "Film
Ist" by Gustav Deutsch in the International Short Film Festival of Vila do
Conde in Portugal.

Carlos Zíngaro is a fundamental name in the field of new improvised music
and in the use of real-time electronics, either as an extension of his
violin or in the composition process. Amongst many others he collaborated
with Otomo Yoshihide, Voicecrack and Richard Teitelbaum.
