This soundscape is a morphological canon of temporal
variations of the same file that has been compressed
and expanded to different lengths and filtered. A
slow, stationary process begin the piece, moving
slowly upward until a small bell-like falling figure
enters into the mix. The glissandos written using the
sonographic interface of the UPIC system can be
clearly heard. A third variation of the sound file
enters in the high frenquency range, like a ball
bearing rolling in a metal bowl. It ends with a
densely compressed version of the sound gesture,
before slipping into silence.
