for a quick start, try http://www.shiny-fx.com/ and look at their "x-synth"
VST. you can use it to morph between or average out the spectral content of two
sound streams. with a bit more work, and using a convolution object or opcode,
you could build something more customized in CSound or PD, perhaps...
