The Kawai 100F is a wierd little beast.  Very different sound from your
average analogue monosynth.  The lowpass filter can be driven into
self-oscillation resulting in modem like squelches. The Korg MS-20 (now
pretty much a collectors item so won't come cheap) is great for processing
sounds. I use both of these synths  a lot.
Pimon uses an MS-20 in production but not live.
