Re: [microsound] 1D
this is a very interesting point that i find myself faced with everyday.
being a laptop musician, often times, the most interesting music is made
with the least amount of programming, or setup. playing a feedback mixer
for awhile was something that really taught me that lesson, but since i've
begun to use computers, i find myself caught between two ideas: making
interesting music, & making interesting patches.
as an improvisor, i've always seen myself as a liberator of sound. as
simple as an idea i feel that to be, i find it to be a very uncommon one
among performances. even amongst avant-garde musicians.
