The work process of fantasmagramma [Francesco Leoci and Marco Leoci] is =
focused on the development of digital sound compositions and interaction =
systems between audio and video signal, evolved through the use of =
specifics software, all introduced in a reductionist and mathematics =
aesthetics.
On the occasion of the show in the Studio Insight, curated by Giovanni =
Pintori, present "1 unit in 2 steps", a performance-installation based =
on the execution of a sound-pieces set, analysed and translated in real =
time in visual sign, through a digital oscilloscope visualized in a =
monitor.
The two components [audio and video], even if constantly and =
mathematically interactive, are perceived by the audience in two =
different time/space dimensions, since placed in two different zones of =
the study, determining a perceptual phase displacement between two =
connected and interrelationed elements, through the involvement of the =
architectural structure of the surrounding site, generating a constant =
relation between sound, video and architecture, visual and not visual, =
audible and inaudible.
The audio section, systematically structured, is focused on the emission =
of sound waves based on frequencies set to the extremes of the audible =
sound spectre, alternated to impulses more or less audible, placed as =
intersection points in the compositive structure.
The video section appears in a minimal configuration, which takes =
different form and dynamics, in conformity to the typology of the =
received audio signal.
