bordeaux?

hi all,

i will be spending a month in france over the holidays, primarily in
bordeaux.  i know we get this question a lot round these parts, but i
haven't seen this particular city mentioned before.  any recommendations -
venues, gigs, restaurants, etc etc?  anybody going to be there?  i'll be
doing live sound for a dance/video piece (performing around the 10th of jan)
if anyone can come along...
