perfect microsound samples

Having gone through traumatic experiences lately -- i. e. if a dying
harddrive is really traumatic as compared to experiences of a grander
human or cosmic scale -- what cheered me up a bit was the following URL:

It's an IBM page containing different sounds/noises of various harddisc
terminal diseases.  If you love your computer and tend to empathize,
maybe you should not listen to it ... but hey, it's perfect microsound,
great samples.

On the other hand, this page might have a long standing in the
microsound pantheon, might even have been the basis for a remix project
years ago ...
