some centuries records news | and happy new year :-)

hello,
bad day for attracting someone's attention with
e-mails on mailing lists, hehe, but good day
nevertheless... some people from these lists might be
interested. :-)

you can also read about this on centuries site:
http://www.star6789.tk/
the first international centuries-rec compilation is
now released and available through synthetic waste
label / distribution: http://www.syntheticwaste.tk/
synthetic waste is sub label of pale mother recordings
from denmark.
on the first star6 cdr there are tracks from: glenn
bach, formatt, igor vlasov, tu m', medit, john
kannenberg, ovni, microsound_00, sawako, jonas olesen
and others...
one track of this compilation ('lift2' from formatt)
was played by gudrun gut and thomas fehlmann on their
ocean club radio program. the whole playlist is here:
http://www.radioeins.de/sendungen/ocean_club_radio/playlist.jsp?id=65824
on the second compilation there will be tracks from:
kazumichi grime, mugen aka alessandro canova,
z_e_l_l_e, ok.suitcase, andrey kiritchenko, andrew
duke, tantal and more... some more releases are
planned (albums or splits too), including a
melodic-electronic compilation with pop oriented music
similar to artists and labels like arovane, city
centre offices, christian kleine, bola, eu, neo ouija?
so far novel 23 and onethema were interested to
contribute tracks for this melotronic compilation on
centuries, and i hope other people from different
places will be interested too... so feel free to get
in touch if you make some kind of melody-based
electronic music or some kind of minimal microsound
music.

there are some new contents on centuries site: on the
'news' page you can read something about 'shaman
efforts' compilation released by a japanesse label
called obtain freedom ? http://www.obtainfreedom.net/
there are also 3 new interviews on the 'interviews'
page, with nicola (from z_e_l_l_e), coh and taylor
deupree, and more older interviews with formatt,
vstrkr, reff, sawako, peewee and kazumichi grime. and
soon there should also be a longer interview with paul
gough aka pimmon, we just have to find some pimmon
photos, which is hard to find? :-)

some of the latest features on 'top albums' page are
(or will be) best-music-lists by nuno (grain of
sound), silvia (spa.rk), andrey kiritchenko (nexsound,
autoplate), mitchell akiyama (intr_version, raster
noton)... also there's top albums list by nicolai aka
vstrkr, and from that part of the site you can
download one mp3 track made by nicolai and me (you can
also download it from nicolai's site
http://www.nvkrog.com/). the track is called 'tarck2'
and it's from our unofficial and relaxed
collaboration, if you hear it, let us know what you
think... i'm interested to hear other people's
opinions, but i guess fans of 12k, z_e_l_l_e, sogar,
pimmon, sachiko m, signal, evol..., will like it. :-)

best wishes,
take care and happy new year :-)
boban

ps: recommended listening for the post-new-year
period: 'tulsa for one second' album from a band
called pulseprogramming. the label is called
aesthetics. this is for fans of mouse on mars, boards
of canada, telefon tel aviv, morr music...
pulseprogramming will play live in january 2003 in
belgium, uk, france, germany, italy... on 31.12
(that's today :-) they are playing in bologna, italy.
