The wonderful Internet Archive has agreed to host a
copy of the Matmos / People Like Us / Wobbly concert,
and it is here for those of you with high speed
connections. It's only available as a single 350 MB
file, but it expands to full fidelity WAV files, a
digital clone of the board recording. And at the
current rate of my server, it's probably easier to
download from there anyway. Many of the mp3's I've had
to take down seem to be popping up mirrored here and
there on other sites, but those sites often vanish
faster than I can link to them. Watching the early
days of the Internet come to a close. Happy Holidays.

For the last few years, detritus.net has had access to
a free T1 line, with no additional charges incurred
for downloads. Sadly the free ride's over, which means
that downloading mp3's from my site will now become
much, much more difficult. At the present rate of
downloads, I'd be charged more than a thousand dollars
a year to continue giving away my music for free. Sigh
internet. So downloads will now be throttled back to 2
gig's worth a month, enabling only a lucky few to get
in there -- anyone who secures the files, please
share. It's been fun, but most of the albums will be
taken down in a day or two, with new ones only briefly
available, announced on the rumori mailing list
probably. Anyone interested in hosting albums for free
on their servers (mp3.com gives me an icky feeling),
please drop me a line at wobbly@xxxxxxxxxxxx, with
thanks.

The internet archive where you can downlaod the
wobbly/PLU/matmos MP3s is http://webdev.archive.org/

Also, wobbly just played a FANTASTIC show in SF last
night. No one should have missed it. We may have MP3s
of that up within a week.

cheers.
