This has made me think about John Cage's 25 Walzes for the 5 Boroughs 
which consists of 25 sets of 3 street names and/or junctions.
The implication is that recordings are to be made in the locations listed.
I did a version for London about 5 years ago, using the I Ching to 
determine the locations. I didn't get round to recording all the 
places.

Has anyone on the list done the original?
