Philip Krumm's original pianowork entitled "Formations" was 
realized for piano, organ, and ring modulator by "Blue" Gene 
Tyranny." The computer performance on this CD uses material 
from a live performance of that realization on January 17, 1968, at 
the Everybody Wins festival held at the Canterbury House in Ann 
Arbor, Michigan, and a studio recording on January 19 of that year. 
"Formations" also utilizes Tape of universal microwave 
background noise from the South Galactic Pole. 
Philip Krumm is a composer of New Music who was associated 
with the Fluxus group and ONCE festivals. "Blue" Gene Tyranny 
played piano, organ, and he produced the computer performance 
on "Formations." He has performed on many albums of 
contemporary music for Robert Ashley, Peter Gordon, and John Cage.
Assembled and mixed by Tom Hamilton at The Pickle Factory, NYC.
