hate to be a one-note johnny, but the databenders group is a great place
to ask about this kind of thing.

(Sorry, everyone, for repeatedly publicizing this group every time
something even vaguely related comes up,but I'm the moderator and I just
wanna let people know what's out there.)

Read the archives to see how people have done things in the past. The
files section has examples of sound files that have been processed as
images in photoshop, and images that can be imported into photoshop,
processed, and then converted into sound. Also tips on a makeshift
method for converting data to video and text to midi and so on.
