I think the point here is that *we* are all somehow collectively involved in
this music-microsound thing. And it seems like that's the kind of shit you
share with people you know -- as in "friends." I never took that post a some
self-congratulatory injection. Rather, I almost detected a little humor in
it. But who am I to theorize?

I would say lighten up, and add if anybody else has success stories, I'd
love to hear about them.
