There is a reason why like you say "we're just bigger and talk a
lot." i,e., the more dominant species.
Without 'tools' other animals would survive the elements much
better than humans.

Actually the latest advancements in technology can find a cure for
paralysis.

Wouldn't you like to see a vehicle that does not pollute the
atmosphere? or a computer made with components that are non-destructive to
the environment? (the current crisis in old TV, computer/monitors)
This can be possible with technology innovations.

Technology is a natural process of nature, for example in the news
you read about 'genetic engineering' or 'super computers' this is man
co-evolving with technology.

It's called entertainment, to make the public feel they actually have
a voice in government and economic policy.
The colonization of the Americas and the formation of the United
States was the beginning of globalization.
