Well that being said, one reason I decided to go the ProTools route
was based on the number of systems that exists out there.  This
means: more 3rd party plugins and software, more availbity to
gear (loaners, rentals, borrow, used), more people out there
that know how to run the system, greater compatibility when
exchanging your work with other people out there.  In the business
world of audio these are things to consider along with how
good of an audio processor it is.
