I agree it would be a shame if a project were to "trivialize" the war, but I can't help thinking about a comment, I think Rumsfeld, made earlier today which caught my attention about how the general public is only getting "slices" of the war from different media sources, which of course can be spun in various directions by assuming it is prismatic of the war as a whole.
The "slices" are basically granules of an event. I'm aware that granular synthesis has probably become too "trendy" or whatever for many people, but in my encounters of it, its use has generally been as a neat toy no one really knows what to do with. I'd be interested in seeing a more explicative digestion of this effect pertaining to something in society. It wouldn't even have to be about the war itself, but just focused on the sort of "seive" which an event passes through as the media distributes it. If you're aware of any projects (muscially or otherwise) which already address this specifically, please point me to them.
Personally, I'm saddened about the pre-emptive attack on a sovereign nation by the US, but that is neither here nor there regarding this idea.
