If it doesn't have to be your own heartbeat, you can download sound
files with the help of findsounds.com. I recently made a piece with
heartbeat sounds and found a CD-quality recording of a heartbeat from
that website, although it was only a few seconds long (I looped it). But
feel free to swallow a mic or have open heart surgery, as long as you
post the results online for us to download. :)

If I wanted to record my heartbeat, would a simple contact mic be
enough?
Are there any alternatives to this besides swallowing a mic or open
heart
surgery??
