the hardliner has been working in the tracker scene for years, recently 
joining up with the demo/tracker crew 'depth' (depth.org).  i think his 
work really nails a lot of what still draws people to chip music or 
demoscene music in spite of how dated it may sound: raw honesty of 
expression and the genuine sound of the machine making the sound.  
'journey' is littered with chip-noise and low-tech tone generation, and 
simultaneously directed by good songwriting.

also a lighthouse made of letters to guide you through your alphabet 
soup...
