LECTURER IN COMPOSITION

=46rom September 2003

The Music Department is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Studio 
Composition who will enhance its research profile and deliver 
high-quality teaching on its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. 
There will also be opportunities to contribute to the teaching of 
acoustic composition.

You will have an established research portfolio and experience in 
teaching Studio Composition at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 
Research specialisms may cover such areas as Live 
Electronics/Interactive Performance, Sound Art, Sound for Film/Video, 
Acoustic Ecology, and Aural Culture. Studio teaching will require 
experience in the use of Max/MSP and ProTools together with a good 
knowledge of other studio software such as Sibelius, Logic Audio and 
Cubase. It is hoped that your research specialism will extend and 
develop the Department's activities in Composition.

Salary will be on either the Lecturer A scale: =A324,325-=A327,585 per annum
or the Lecturer B scale: =A328,404-=A335,813 per annum
both inclusive of =A32,134 per annum London Weighting Allowance.
