Hi all,

As you can see below, we would need a place to host the .microsound
archives if they were to be set up. Can anyone offer some space? It's
still not a sure thing yet, as I have to find out some other
possibilities. But I want to find out if there is someone who can give
some web space to the archives.

mail server, as they can be requested by email by message number. What
would one have to do in order to make those messages web-searchable? We
have a php coder on the list who says he's interested, so what do we do?

Can't host it at Hyperreal unless you can figure out a way to do it
efficiently, without exploding the messages into separate static HTML
files...
but you're free to subscribe a bot to the list and set up an archive
elsewhere, using whatever software you want. Some people do this for
some of
the other lists. Andy the list admin (cc'd on this) can manually
subscribe
the bot address for you.

The most we can offer here is to set up monthly archiving of the list's
postings into raw, unformatted monthly mbox files in a
publicly-accessible
location. Apparently we haven't set it up for the microsound list yet.

The complete archive (raw messages in separate files) is also in a
private dir
under Andy's control, accessible through the list server (you can
request
messages by number through email)... email microsound-help@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
to
see more info on that.
